Applicants for the Drive Smart, Live Safe Scholarship: How Students Can Help Prevent Drunk Driving in Their Communities must submit their completed applications by April 1, 2026. Applications received after this date will not be reviewed.
Selection timeline and contact policy
After the application window closes, Centro Legal Hispano de Las Vegas’ scholarship selection committee may take up to three months to choose the recipient. During this period, neither applicants nor their family members should contact Bezhari Law about application status—the firm is unable to provide updates.
Notification and updates
Because the committee cannot respond individually to every applicant, only the selected winner will be notified by email. Applicants should monitor the Centro Legal Hispano de Las Vegas website for any announcements or information about the selection process.
Eligibility and application requirements
All applicants must satisfy the eligibility criteria listed on the scholarship application page, including:
- Current enrollment at a college, university, trade school, or graduate program
- Be at least 18 years old at the time of enrollment
- U.S. residency
- Good academic standing
- Submission of basic personal and academic information (name, contact details, school information)
- An original essay addressing the scholarship topic
