Purpose
The program exists to support and advance the aviation interests of Georgia-based companies that operate aircraft to facilitate their business activities. Its goals include promoting the highest standards of operational efficiency and safety; encouraging personal and professional connections and idea-sharing among members; fostering an informed relationship with government and airport authorities on matters affecting members; and developing constructive ties with regulatory and related agencies so the value of business aviation to commerce and the national economy is better understood.
Scholarship Awards
- Aviation Maintenance Technology: Awards up to $2,000 plus a $1,000 Snap-on Tools certificate are available to students pursuing training in aviation maintenance.
- Professional Pilot: Scholarships of up to $5,000 are offered to those studying to become professional pilots.
- Other Aviation Disciplines: Grants up to $3,000 are available for students in related fields, including but not limited to aviation operations, aviation management, and aeronautical engineering.
Eligibility and Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Be a graduate of a Georgia high school or hold a GED equivalent from an accredited Georgia institution.
- Be pursuing a career in flying and/or maintaining aircraft within private or corporate aviation.
- Be enrolled full time, or accepted for full-time study, in an accredited and/or FAA-approved college program leading to an aviation-related certificate or an undergraduate or graduate degree in fields such as flight technology, aviation maintenance technology, aviation operations, aviation management, or aeronautical engineering (other aviation-related disciplines will also be considered).
- Maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.00 or higher (based on college or high school records, as applicable).
