Eligibility
Overview
The Live Más Scholarship is available to applicants who meet all of the requirements listed below.
New applicants
- Be a legal resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, or be the dependent child of an active-duty member of the U.S. armed forces stationed in the United States or D.C.
- Be between the ages of 16 and 26 (inclusive).
- Either be preparing to apply to a post‑secondary program (if you are awaiting a high school diploma or G.E.D.) or already be enrolled in an accredited post‑high school/post‑secondary institution — this includes two‑year and four‑year colleges, vocational‑technical schools, and trade programs.
Renewal / returning scholars
- Scholars may renew their award up to three (3) times, provided they remain eligible.
- Renewals are not automatic; you must submit a renewal application using the invitation code you receive.
- Renewal award amounts may differ from prior years.
- The 16–26 age restriction does not apply to renewal applicants.
How to Apply
Format
Submit one (1) original entry in a single format:
- Video: between 30 seconds and 2 minutes in length; OR
- Essay: 250–500 words. You may include one photo that represents your passion along with your essay.
Content requirements
- New applicants: Your submission should address each of the following:
1. What your passion is and the steps you are taking to pursue it.
2. The impact you hope to achieve through that passion.
3. How you demonstrate the spirit of Live Más in your daily life.

- Renewal applicants: Your submission should cover each of the following:
1. How your passion has developed or changed since you last received a Live Más Scholarship.
2. The change you have made or intend to make through your passion or chosen career path.
3. How your education has helped you move toward your goals.
4. How you continue to live out the Live Más ethos in everyday life.
