Cathay Bank Foundation Scholarship

The Cathay Bank Foundation provides financial support to young people living within the Bank’s service areas who are pursuing postsecondary education.
Eligibility
- Applicant must be a high school senior living in one of Cathay Bank’s service counties located in California, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Texas, or Washington.
- Must plan to begin college as a first‑year student in Fall 2026 at a U.S.-accredited four‑year college/university or at a community college. (If chosen, you will be required to submit an official college acceptance letter for confirmation.)
- Minimum cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.0.
- Household income must be at or below the county’s low‑income threshold. (If selected, applicants must provide a 2024 or 2025 tax return for income verification.)
- All academic majors are eligible.
- Cathay Bank employees and their immediate family members are not eligible to apply.
