Amazon Future Engineer participants gain resources to advance their own careers and support their communities through college funding, paid internship experiences, and guidance from industry mentors.
Award details
- Scholars may receive up to $40,000 total (maximum $10,000 per year) to apply toward an undergraduate degree in computer science and will be considered for a summer internship placement at Amazon.
Eligibility
- You must be a U.S. high school senior who is either currently taking or has completed a high school or college dual-enrollment course in computer science. If you have not taken such a course, you may opt to complete an assessment provided by Amazon.
- You plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related computing field at an accredited four-year institution — or you are enrolled at a two-year college with the intention to transfer to a four-year school.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States (for example: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or holder of an Employment Authorization Document).
- You need a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.3 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
- Applicants must show financial need; this opportunity is intended to support students with significant financial assistance requirements.
