ACEC New York Scholarship Program

Introduction To encourage the next generation of engineers, recognize outstanding students, and help New York retain promising talent, ACEC New York runs a statewide scholarship program. Launched in 2002, the council has awarded more than $1.4 million in scholarships to over 460 high-performing engineering students enrolled at colleges and universities across New York State. A short promotional video explaining the Scholarship Fund’s goals and impact is available on our site. Who may apply - The scholarship is offered each fall to students who are in their third year of a four-year program or their fourth year of a five-year program. - Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. - Candidates must intend to remain in New York State after graduation and begin their professional careers in the state. - An individual may receive an ACEC New York scholarship only once. Eligible majors To qualify, your major must be in one of the following engineering or surveying fields: - Mechanical Engineering - Electrical Engineering - Structural Engineering - Civil Engineering - Environmental Engineering - Chemical Engineering - Engineering Technology - Surveying - Ceramics Engineering How to apply Begin by completing the online application form and follow the instructions for uploading any required final documentation. Two recommendation forms (Recommendation Forms A and B) must also be submitted through our website — please provide the application link to anyone you ask to write a recommendation.
