Crutchfield-Healy Scholarship

Intro The Joseph P. and Lotus Crutchfield-Healy Memorial Scholarship was created in July 1998 by longtime Susanville Girl Scout volunteers Kathy Healy-Justice and Mike Justice. Its mission is to honor a Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada (GSSN) Ambassador who has earned the Gold Award and to support her pursuit of a bachelor’s degree by helping offset college or university expenses. Eligibility and application Eligible Girl Scouts will be invited to apply. Basic requirements - Must be a currently registered member of Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada. - Must have earned the Girl Scout Gold Award. - Must be a graduating high school senior. - Must have applied to or be enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university. Selection considerations Academic achievement and participation in extracurricular activities will be reviewed, with particular emphasis on the significance and impact of the applicant’s Gold Award project. Award details - Number of awards: One scholarship granted annually. - Amount: A single, one-time award of $2,000.
