The American Public Works Association (APWA) champions professionalism, competence, and credibility in the public works sector. To support that mission, the Indiana Chapter is offering a scholarship for students pursuing college degrees in public-works–related disciplines. Eligible fields include, but are not limited to, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Public Works Management. Dependents of union members may qualify to receive scholarships through both CSEA and AFSCME programs. Several additional awards are also offered by affiliated groups and local organizations.
Eligibility
Current eligible dependents of members may apply for the scholarships described below. Other scholarships can be found through Union Plus, CSEA Region 5, local unions and units, and many AFSCME affiliates.
CSEA Scholarships
- Annual awards: CSEA grants twenty-four (24) scholarships of $1,000 each under the Irving Flaumenbaum Memorial Scholarship and Thomas H. McDonough programs.
- Additional awards: Pearl Insurance and MetLife each provide a one-time $2,500 scholarship (two separate awards)....
