Overview
The Ohio Soybean Association (OSA) awards two scholarships of $1,000 each year to students from any academic discipline who demonstrate a clear interest in the soybean sector.
Who is eligible
- Open to Ohio residents who are current full-time students at a college, university, or technical school, or to high school seniors who plan to enroll full-time.
- Students from any major may apply, but applicants should show a strong commitment to the soybean industry and agricultural advocacy. Evidence of leadership or participation in agriculture-related organizations (for example FFA or 4‑H) is encouraged.
- Applicants must be either a Student or Young Adult Member (SYA) of the Ohio Soybean Association or be the child or grandchild of a current OSA member.
Award use and reapplication
Scholarship payments are sent directly to the recipient’s school and may be applied toward tuition, fees, and books. Recipients are eligible to apply for the scholarship again in future years.
Key dates
Applications for the 2026–2027 academic year will be accepted beginning October 27, 2025 and must be submitted by January 16, 2026.
